The 24th annual Fulton Chain Rendezvous of the Antique and Classic Boat Society will be held on Saturday, July 12, in Old Forge.
Boats will be on display at the Old Forge lakefront for public viewing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year’s boat show will celebrate the 100th birthday of Omeco, a 25 ft Fay and Bowen owned by Bill and Wendy Nolan. Omeco has spent her entire 100 years in the same boathouse with the same family at the Paonyc property on Fourth Lake.
Dunn’s Marine from Big Moose Lake will give free rides on their 1955 Chris Craft “Grace” during the show. Exhibitors at the show will vote for awards for their favorites in several categories, and the viewing public may cast their votes for the People’s Choice award. The fleet will take off at 2 p.m. for a grand parade through the 1.5 mile channel that marks the beginning of the Fulton Chain of Lakes.
